Zhang Yong stepped down as CEO of Haidilao and Yang Lijuan took over

On March 1, Haidilao announced the appointment of management personnel. Yang Lijuan, deputy CEO and chief operating officer, was transferred to CEO. Zhang Yong, chairman of the board of directors and former CEO, will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors and executive director; Li Yu served as chief operating officer of Chinese mainland, and Wang Jinping served as chief operating officer of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The announcement said that Yang Lijuan was appointed as CEO this time, responsible for supervising the management and strategic development of the group, and continued to be responsible for the implementation and promotion of the “woodpecker plan”. Since the implementation of the “woodpecker plan”, the internal management and operation of the company have been significantly improved.

Everbright Securities Company Limited(601788) research report shows that the platform turnover rate of undersea fishing in January 2022 is higher than that in December 2021, reaching 106% in the same period of 2021.

According to insiders, Yang Lijuan, as the leader of the “woodpecker program”, has always played an important role in operation and management. Born as a waiter, she has worked in Haidilao for more than 27 years. She is a key figure for Haidilao to go out of Sichuan and explore the national market. She is also the person in charge of Haidilao’s implementation of the system of “connecting interests and locking management”.

In addition, the two chief operating officers appointed by the company are another measure to realize the rejuvenation of the management team after Haidilao added seven young executive directors in August 2021. It is understood that the Haidilao management team is becoming younger and younger, which is closely related to its successor plan. In 2020, Haidilao will launch the succession plan, which will open the selection mechanism of managers to all employees, with a planning cycle of 10 to 15 years.
