Harbin Airport announced on the 25th that during the Spring Festival transportation, the flight volume of Harbin Airport increased by 74.9% year-on-year and the passenger throughput increased by 76.2% year-on-year.
In 2018, the annual passenger throughput of Harbin Taiping International Airport exceeded 20 million person times, becoming the first airport in Northeast China to reach 20 million person times.
Affected by the epidemic situation in many places, during the Spring Festival transportation, the passenger flow of Harbin airport is mainly business flow, student flow and family visit flow, while Sanya has become the first choice for travel because of its unique natural conditions. The seating rate of flights from Harbin to Sanya has reached 90%.
Harbin Airport focuses on the home visit market, focuses on the passenger transport demand of hot areas and hot routes, successively restores multiple routes such as Zhanjiang and Zhangjiakou, encrypts hot routes such as Beijing, Sanya and Haikou, and coordinates China Eastern Airlines, HNA and Sichuan Airlines to temporarily allocate Airbus A330 wide body aircraft to carry out routes from Harbin to Shanghai, Sanya, Chengdu and other cities.
Data show that during the Spring Festival, Harbin Airport guaranteed 15218 flights and transported 1.745 million passengers. Overall, although the passenger volume did not reach the level before the outbreak, it increased significantly compared with the spring transportation in 2021. The number of flights increased by 74.9% year-on-year and the passenger throughput increased by 76.2% year-on-year.
At present, Harbin Airport operates smoothly, with more than 400 inbound and outbound flights and more than 50000 passengers per day.
