Ningxia is a major energy province and Hunan is a major manufacturing province. The construction of direct current transmission project from Ningxia to Hunan, lighting up the land of Sanxiang with “scenery” and “leading by the first line of thousands of miles of cooperation” will create a new mode of cooperation between central and western provinces and regions.
According to the preliminary study, the UHV project of “Ningdian into Hunan” will pass through five provinces (districts) and one city, including Ningxia, Gansu, Shaanxi, Chongqing, Hubei and Hunan, with a total length of 1467 kilometers. Designed according to the annual power transmission of 40-44 billion kwh, after the project is put into operation at the end of the 14th five year plan, it can increase the power consumption of Hunan by 1 / 6.
The construction of the project is also of great significance to Ningxia. In addition to supporting the construction of 4 million kilowatts of coal power at the transmission end, the project mainly supports the construction of 13 million kilowatts of new energy. According to the organization of 4 million kilowatts of wind power such as Zhongwei desert photovoltaic 6 million kilowatts, Hongsibao Gobi photovoltaic 3 million kilowatts and Zhongwei Haiyuan, it will drive the upstream and downstream manufacturing industry of new energy, new energy power generation and power grid supporting facilities in Ningxia to invest 100 billion yuan.
Ningxia and Hunan attach great importance to and actively promote the project. According to the energy cooperation memorandum signed by the two provinces of Nanjing and Hunan, the focus will be on the construction of “one front line, one park and one base”, especially the supporting project “one park and one base” will be implemented in Hongsibao District, Wuzhong City, Ningxia, the largest centralized poverty alleviation and resettlement area for remote monomer ecological immigrants in China. Now, taking advantage of the east wind of “Ningdian into Hunan”, Hongsibao has attracted many Hunan equipment manufacturing enterprises to start construction in the construction of “one park and one base”.
In July 2021, Hongsibao district signed cooperation agreements with Hunan CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Wuling electric power and other companies. In October, the construction of Xiangning new energy equipment manufacturing industrial park was started, led by Hunan Xiangtou Holding Group Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the planning, construction and investment attraction of the park. At present, 25 enterprises have cooperated and connected, and the construction of Hnac Technology Co.Ltd(300490) energy storage battery production line has been started. Most of the Hunan enterprises landing in Ningxia are leading enterprises in the manufacturing industry. Energy equipment, crystalline silicon photovoltaic, diversified energy storage and other projects have been put into operation, which will promote the development of the whole industry chain of wind power and photovoltaic in Ningxia and drive the employment of more than 2000 people.
On February 8 this year, Ningxia and Hunan held a symposium on promoting the construction of “one front line, one park and one base”. The two sides fully discussed and reached an agreement on the relevant contents of the medium and long-term cooperation agreement on “Ningdian entering Hunan”, deployed to jointly strive for national support and promote the approval and commencement of the “Ningdian entering Hunan” project, and made arrangements for accelerating the construction of Ningxiang new energy equipment manufacturing industrial park We reached a consensus on increasing investment attraction and expanding cooperation in various fields.
“Ningdian into Hunan” delivers green electricity and clean electricity, in which the proportion of new energy will exceed 50%, and the annual utilization rate of the channel will be more than 5000 hours. It has become an innovative project facing the goal of “double carbon” and realizing the stable transmission of high proportion of new energy, and a demonstration project for building a new power system and realizing the large-scale optimal allocation of new energy. With the completion of the “Ningdian Hunan” project in 2025, the electric power of State Grid Ningxia electric power company will reach “two 100 billion”, that is, 100 billion kwh of electricity sold in the region and 100 billion kwh of electricity transmitted abroad. The development of renewable energy will achieve “two 50%”, that is, 50% of installed capacity and 50% of power generation.
