China’s industrial structure has been continuously optimized and its endogenous power has been significantly improved. Advanced manufacturing, emerging service industries and the “four new economies” have become important driving forces for China’s economic development, according to the data of market players in 2021 disclosed by China’s State Administration of market supervision on the 3rd.
The pattern of the three industries remained stable. By the end of 2021, there were 1.52 million, 9.681 million and 37.222 million registered enterprises in China’s primary, secondary and tertiary industries, accounting for 3.1%, 20.0% and 76.9% respectively. In 2021, 233000, 1547000 and 7260000 enterprises were newly established in the primary, secondary and tertiary industries respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, 5.3% and 14.3% respectively, and 90000, 587000 and 3533000 enterprises were withdrawn, with a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, 15.8% and 21.8% respectively.
The growth rate of newly established enterprises in the emerging service industry was obvious, and the recovery of sports, entertainment and catering services was accelerated. In 2021, the service industry has outstanding development advantages, and the growth rate of newly established enterprises in six sub industries is higher than the average level. The culture, sports and entertainment industries that were greatly affected by the epidemic in the early stage accelerated the recovery, and the newly established enterprises increased by 30.4% year-on-year. New enterprises in scientific research and technical services increased by 24.9% year-on-year, and the growth rate of accommodation and catering industry reached 19.0%.
The “four new economies” (new technologies, Shenzhen New Industries Biomedical Engineering Co.Ltd(300832) , new business forms and new models) have developed rapidly, and the advantages of new energy, modern innovative technology and service industry are prominent. In 2021, 3.838 million new enterprises were established in the “four new economies” industry, with a year-on-year increase of 15.8%, 3.3 percentage points higher than the overall level of enterprises and 26.5% higher than that in 2019; Accounting for 42.5% of the total number of newly established enterprises, 1.2 percentage points higher than that in 2020. Among them, the growth rate of new energy, modern technology services and innovation and entrepreneurship services, Internet and modern information technology services, energy conservation and environmental protection enterprises was higher, increasing by 35.8%, 26.0%, 25.5% and 23.0% respectively.
